National Poetry Month, April 2012
I have decided to try my hand at 30 plus poems in 30 days again. It’s been 2 years since my last effort, which fizzled out. Then with last November’s effort that only made it through Day 5, I knew that I still wasn’t ready.
This year is a lot different. I spend time writing but it’s a real effort to post with the frequency I used to be able to achieve. My incentive comes from the sheer desire to publish poetry. What’s new is learning to work around a demanding part-time job that captures and keeps my full attention in the work day (no time for musing). And sometimes that attending carries over to after hours (something I’m trying to curb).
I think it was the email from Robert Lee Brewer that gave me the final push to get on the ball with balancing work and writing. So, for better or for worse, I am in for 2012!
As is my usual practice, I’ll post through the winner of the challenge on my site. I’ll include any short updates just below. Full post links will be added to the bottom of this page.
See you tomorrow. Enjoy!
