Day 11: No One Wants…

No One Wants Blue Food

Even a blue background
the plates, I mean,
can significantly
shorten your dinner party.
There’s nothing hearty
about blue unlike
green in bean casseroles
or browns and orange
carrots in beef stew.
It’s just a kindness
a grace, a gift
that in a world that
demands compromise
and settling,
we never have to
tolerate a blue meal.
