Better Use of Yesterdays

All my second guesses
‘if only’ and ‘I should have’
standing me still.
Spent minutes
never recoverable.

A different way
I choose today
through as many tomorrows
as I can sustain.

Live forward,
less the burden
of past wrong turns,
armed with mines mapped,
the better course I can travel.
